The New York City School Construction Authority's Safety Division is a team of full time Safety Officers that:
- Conduct regular Safety Inspections to ensure compliance to City, State, and Federal safety rules and regulations. Safety staff are assigned to day, night, and weekend shifts.
- Review and approve Site Safety plans developed by licensed professionals and discuss their impact on the school community.
- Provide onsite guidance and training including OSHA and scaffolding training.
SCA Safety Manual
The "SCA Safety Manual" is intended to guide and direct the management, staff, and contractors working on all NYC school buildings of their safety obligations.
